Auditions
Auditions are held by the director for each production, which any interested member can attend. Copies of the play may be obtained from the director via request to the Arts Director. Non-members may attend auditions but must become a member to perform in a production.

The Theatre reserves the right to cast by invitation.
The Theatre reserves the right to change or cancel an event due to unforeseen circumstances.

Membership

Sutton Arts Theatre is a members’ theatre sustained by the voluntary efforts of the membership. All members are welcome to participate in acting, backstage, administration and all activities of the Theatre. Membership offers the benefit of reduced ticket prices for the major productions and use of the Theatre bar. All members receive a regular mail shot containing information on future events and booking forms.

Membership per season:

Please note that Sutton Arts Theatre is a members’ theatre.
Non-members are welcome and on purchase of a ticket for an event will become temporary members for that event by registering their name and address.

 

Facilities for people with disabilities

Sutton Arts Theatre offers space in the auditorium for wheelchair users. As these places are limited, please ensure that you first check availability with the Box Office when you book your tickets. We have an induction loop hearing system in the Box Office and Auditorium. Please contact the Theatre if you have any enquiries regarding facilities or access.

 

Other Events

Social, informative and fundraising events are held throughout the year. These include musical entertainment, quiz nights and many others. Details are circulated to members via email and social media and are displayed on our foyer notice boards.

 

Hiring Sutton Arts Theatre facilities for your event

The auditorium and function room are available for hire day or evening with the option of a licensed bar. Please contact the Arts Director Emily Armstrong via info@suttonartstheatre.co.uk

 

Car Parking

Members and patrons are advised that parking outside the Theatre is strictly prohibited unless attending rehearsals or through prior arrangement with Chairman. There is a large 24 hour pay and display car park at the corner of South Parade and Upper Holland Road, which is only two minutes from the Theatre.

 

Parking for people with disabilities

Badge holders may park on the opposite side of the road to the Theatre. Please do not obstruct driveways.
