Calendar Girls
6th - 15th September 2012
Performances start at 7:30pm
A group of extraordinary women, members of a very ordinary Yorkshire WI, spark a global phenomenon by persuading one another to pose for a charity calendar with a difference!
As interest snowballs, the CALENDAR GIRLS find themselves revealing more than they'd ever planned… A very British story, with a very British heart, CALENDAR GIRLS is based on an uplifting and very inspiring true story that is quirky, poignant and hilarious.
Based on the true story of eleven WI members who posed nude for a calendar to raise money for the Leukaemia Research Fund, Calendar Girls opened at the Chichester Festival Theatre and has since become the fastest selling play in British Theatre history.
Sutton Arts Theatre is pleased to be one of the first amateur companies in England to be performing this play.
This production contains some strong language and some nudity.
